Metroid Dread Comes to Life as Pixel Art by Star Renegades artist

Metroid comes primed and set up as she gets set for the Pixel art world!

Information technology goes without maxim that Metroid fans truly got their life when Dread, the sequel to Metroid Fusion, showed upwardly at the Nintendo showcase at E3 this year.

Game director Yoshio Sakamoto, who has directed several games in the Metroid series, revealed that Dread took fifteen years to come up to fruition and from the look of the trailer besides every bit fans reactions, it has been worth every 2d. Metroid Dread volition tell the story of Samus and the Metroids which began 35 years ago on the OG NES.

As you tin see from the short clip, Samus Aran waits behind a wall while a robotic enemy bursts downward the door looking for our good old compensation hunter before climbing on the ceiling and so exiting.

It's such a brilliant piece of work for something that'due south so short. One fan on Twitter commented on the video asking "This is fantastic. Was the Wolfenstein 3D angle intentional or happy picayune accident?" with Heemskerk replying that information technology was simply an accident, although he wished he had additional time to push that angle more.
